Feature and Follow - To Read in 2014

Alison Can Read Feature & Follow 

I am afraid I don't have a good list like so many of you.
For 2014 my hope is to be able to read some of the many, many interesting books that will come out by independent authors. I want to read a SteamPunk book, an historical novel, and a biography of someone surprising. Any suggestions?

    Have you read Unbroken? Great non-fiction story about Louis Zamparelli. I loved it and I even looked up more about him when I finished reading it. Walking the Amazon was also an interesting book about a team who did just that, walked the Amazon. :)

    Well, I can't recommend any books yet because most of my list are paranormal and the historical ones are those that have been released the previous year.
